I was walking around Ta Prohm temple in Tonle Bati, 30 km south of Phnom Penh, when I saw this broken stone. A Hindu mythology relief beautifully carved on it, -churning of the ocean of milk-. one of the central events in the ever-continuing struggle between the Devas (gods) and the Asuras (evils). The people usually put this stone above the door, but here, perhaps because of the limited place, they put it on the ground.
This stone was broken, but it could not eliminate the meaning of its story behind the relief.
