And there I marveled at the forest’s trees; my soul rooted to its deep verdant sea. I could no more leave it, than it could walk from me – Angie Weiland-Crosby
Perhaps I did not gained the knowledge directly but through some experiences to know that Nature is a healer. When I sat under the tree or just walked through the forests or made a small hike during my youth, I felt peaceful. I knew that sometimes my physical body was exhausted, but my soul felt so restful. Then after long time, unconsciously I did the similar exercises and gained the same feeling. I have learned that it’s not about me, but it is about Nature that existed as a healer.

Serenity Among the Trees
*
Walking in the forest is true meditative time. The trees fulfilled my mind and to encourage my mindfulness. The longer I walk, the more I feel peaceful. Problems and tiredness fade away, answers are whispered, solution shown up.
I need only listen and notice.
Ah, nothing is more freeing than to walk into the nature’s solitude. It becomes the time to connect to the pure souls. So refreshing, after recharging into a new freshness. It will be a journey without solitary feeling because the green of nature provides all fellowship with glory, a fondest bestie of mine.

Angkor Forest
So when my tuk-tuk driver brought me to Angkor Archaeological Park on my first time visit, my enthusiasm raised to walk through the forests which are made to keep the sustainability of the ancient heritage and its surrounding environment. Since that time, when I visited Angkor I always make time for walking in the forest. Near Angkor Wat or when going to Kbal Spean or others.
This feeling is relative “addictive”, even it happens as I do the first step of embracing the forests. The green melts me into the peaceful realm.
So now you know the reason I always return to Angkor 🙂
