When the Daily Post asked us to submit photos that represent security for this week’s challenge, I thought directly to the carved stone bar windows at Angkor Wat. I felt the carved stone bars, beside beautiful, they were represented as security at their time. From inside the building we can see the majestic temple and its beautiful surrounding scenery through the bars. And from outside, as seen on the photo above, we can see female deities -or locally called as Devata or sometimes Apsara-, which were beautifully carved on the wall between the windows. And on the upper part of the windows, there are beautiful reliefs along the wall. And beside as security, the carved stone bars functioned as air ventilation so we feel comfortable walking inside the galleries.
